Environmental Site Assessment Phase I according to CSA Z768-F01 Standards (C2022)
An Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) Phase I is conducted to determine actual or potential environmental risks associated with a property or site based on its current and past uses. According to CSA Z768-F01 Standards (C2022), the ESA Phase I includes:
- A comprehensive review of historical records.
- Site inspections and interviews with property owners and occupants.
- Requests for access to information from various organizations such as the Ministry, the city/municipality, RBQ, etc.
- Preparation of a final report - typically completed within 3 to 4 weeks.
This report is often required by financial and governmental institutions to assess the presence or absence of concerns that may impact the environmental quality of soils and groundwater.
